Welcome to my universe, my little happiness
Vantour, what is it?
Never would a project like this have existed without the invaluable help of my mentor, I name Xavier.Cooking, Art of living, Art in general, Well-being, Philosophy…
A rich palette of colors in topics and full of Kindness and Generosity just for you. Some will find themselves here, others will not. That’s how it is. However, if I can give you that little touch of pleasure, joy, and craziness in your life, it will be happiness for me. It’s also the quirky side of my universe that I enjoy sharing with you.
But first, let’s start by defining what a planet is…
It is a celestial body that orbits around the sun or a star. It has sufficient mass for its gravity to overcome the cohesive forces of the solid body and maintain it in hydrostatic equilibrium, in other words, in an almost spherical shape. This means it is stable in size and temperature. This equilibrium also helps determine whether a celestial object is a planet, a dwarf planet, or a small body of a stellar system.I will stop here for the technical description. We have the necessary indications for me to take you into orbit with me!
Are you still with me? Good, let’s enter the Universe of this Planet…Here you will find Creativity, Gluttony, in cooking and travel videos, Joy and Happiness in the stories and articles that will accompany these videos, and finally Emotion and Empathy in writings. But I also hope you will find comfort in everything I give. And a huge dose of generosity! Because that’s also what my Planet is about, Generosity!!
All these things are like my little gravitational stars, which accompany me day after day and allow me to maintain my “ Hydrostatic Balance”.
hydrostatic balance…..
hydrostatic balance…..
hydrostatic balance…..
And there, you realize that you have stumbled upon a remarkable planet… lol
This project is saying yes to who I am, yes to my values, yes to life! No longer staying on the sidelines, no longer hiding or being afraid of prejudices. I am shy and modest, but this new adventure brings me so much joy that I had to take the plunge. Revealing to you the little corners of my life, emancipating myself from all the constraints that have appeared during life’s experiences.Emotions
Emotion being one of the reasons why I embarked on this project, I must talk to you about them. Rest assured, I am not going to give you a long, boring treatise that would put you to sleep in two minutes. There is this Wheel of Emotions by Robert Plutchik, just the name is funny, which colors the emotion we feel at a given moment of the day. For example, blue corresponds to this: it refers to astonishment, surprise, distraction but also to sorrow, sadness, and daydreaming. It turns out that all these emotions participated in triggering the idea for this project. There is also joy, serenity, and ecstasy, which are expressed in yellow. Strangely, I am not a big fan of yellow, and yet…
Since emotion is linked to each person’s temperament and personality and touches consciousness, the same emotion can be experienced in a billion different ways…
Let’s return to emotions in general.
Descartes and emotions
The first to talk about it is our dear Descartes, in his treatise on the Soul where he clearly identifies no less than six emotions. Love, hate, admiration, desire, sadness, and joy. While Robert Plutchik names eight. In fact, there would be six main ones, and those that derive from them..Often, we suppress our emotions. Apart from the fact that it is not a good thing, we must learn to master them. If we master them, we can manage ourselves better, and thus approach a situation in a better way. This, according to Descartes, would allow us to safeguard the independence of human thought. Controlling them would mean making better use of them. This is very important, because for him, nothing is more harmful to the soul than the body, and if we do not control them, it can be tragic.
Because yes, they are all a psychological reaction to a situation.
This reaction is also physical. One can sweat, feel one’s heart beating very fast, have sweaty hands, smile to the point of hurting one’s zygomatic muscles, etc…
I will tell you one thing, there are emotions that we cannot describe, at least perhaps not in our language, because depending on the spoken and used language, emotions can be described differently. Sometimes, we are unable to put words to them..Emotions affect our daily behaviors, our choices, and our perceptions
And, our perceptions, our daily behaviors as well as our choices are governed, if I may say so, by our emotions. Our emotions act on them, allowing for more effective communication. Even when we are in a learning process, they play a key role.
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to my Vantour!
