Holy Energy, a danger to health?

No, Holy is not dangerous in itself when you respect the doses. The Energy range contains 160 mg of caffeine per serving, without taurine or sugar, which is 40% of the daily recommended threshold by EFSA for an adult. It’s more moderate than a day of downing Red Bull and Monster.

Like any stimulating drink, it is not suitable for everyone: pregnant women, children, caffeine-sensitive individuals, or type 1 diabetics should be cautious. The rule remains moderation: a maximum of 500 ml per day is more than enough.

PowerEd is a bit lower but still around 47.5 g for 500 ml, or nearly 12 cubes. And even a drink like Kräsi-Tiger exceeds 50 g.

To give you an idea, WHO recommends not exceeding 25 g of free sugar per day… so just one can of these drinks far exceeds your daily quota. In short, if you pay a little attention to your health (or your weight), it’s really worth considering what you’re drinking. Holy doesn’t work miracles, but it has the merit of avoiding excess sugar and skipping the most dubious additives.

It’s even quite fun to try, with original flavors that you can’t find elsewhere. If you like drinks that are a bit punchy but clean, you’re definitely going to love it.

On the health side, let’s not kid ourselves: the best drink for your body remains water. But let’s be honest, when you want a bit of pep, Holy remains one of the most reasonable choices. It’s sugar-free, taurine-free, with natural ingredients, and in terms of additives, they stay well below the competition. Even a fruit juice, which seems healthy at first glance, often contains more sugar than this!
