The Reolink RP-PN8 (8-channel NVR) is not a camera but the centrepiece of a CCTV system: a recorder (NVR) that drives and archives several PoE cameras.
Who is this recorder for?
This NVR recorder is aimed at serious, professional installs: shop, warehouse, large property. You wire several PoE cameras to it for continuous recording on a hard drive, with no reliance on the cloud. The camera is not included, this is the brain of the system.
Setup: a complete wired system
Connection over PoE, 8 channels: each camera reaches the recorder over a single Ethernet cable (power plus data). The PoE cameras wire straight in, and the whole set records continuously to a hard drive, locally, without depending on the internet.
Storage, alerts and remote access
Storage: Hard drive (up to 16 TB). No forced subscription to record locally. Everything runs from the Reolink app (and a browser): real-time notifications, live view and playback wherever you are. H.265 compression keeps file sizes down without giving up quality.
