Prozis is a Portuguese company, founded in 2006 by Miguel Milhão. He was twenty-three, and he sold the car his father had just given him to raise the 25,000 euros of starting capital. The idea came from his own frustration as a competitive swimmer who got injured often: sports nutrition was expensive and hard to find in Portugal.
Roughly twenty years later the group is headquartered in Esposende, in the north of the country, and ranks among the largest sports nutrition retailers in Europe. The catalogue has spread well beyond nutrition since: food, snacks, sportswear, cosmetics.
Where are Prozis products made?
Largely in house, in Portugal. The supplement plant covers around 14,000 m² in Póvoa de Lanhoso, near Braga.
