The transmitter measures 38 mm in diameter and 12.2 mm in thickness and weighs about 19.7 g without the clip. Its 1.22-inch e-ink screen displays six colors, with a resolution of 240 × 208 pixels. The receiver has a 1.09-inch AMOLED screen.

The Mic Pro integrates three microphones and offers several recording modes: omnidirectional, cardioid, bidirectional, and supercardioid. It also features noise reduction, automatic gain control, and an internal recording function. These are adjustable options; their relevance depends on the scene and your sound work.

Direct connection or receiver: choose based on your device

The direct connection is designed for compatible cameras, including the Luna Ultra and Luna Pro, X6, X5, X4 Air, Ace Pro 2, and GO Ultra. The firmware of the microphone and camera must be up to date. Not all cameras bearing the Insta360 name offer the same possibilities: you need to check the specific model.

With a phone, the Bluetooth connection without an adapter keeps the physical port available. A customizable screen and two ways to attach the mic

The screen image can be customized from the Insta360 app. You can display your visual identity or choose a color that matches your clothing. For a product presentation or an interview, it's a simple way to control the presence of the mic in the frame.

The attachment is done via a clip or magnet. The magnet allows you to position the mic on clothing without pinching it. A windscreen is included among the supplied accessories; the mic placement should be adapted to the fabric and filming conditions.

Announced battery life, recharge, and range

Insta360 announces about ten hours for the transmitters and eleven hours for the receiver, under laboratory conditions. The pack with case reaches about thirty hours with available recharges. These values were obtained without noise reduction or internal recording; they do not represent a measure of all connection modes.

The transmitters and receiver can be charged via USB-C or in the case. The announced range of up to 400 m concerns the link between transmitter and receiver in open terrain, without obstacles or interference. This figure does not describe the direct Bluetooth range to a camera or phone.

Which Mic Pro pack to choose?

The transmitter alone, in black or arctic white, is suitable for a compatible direct setup. The pack 1 TX + 1 RX adds a receiver and connection accessories for a solo creator. It does not include the charging case of more complete packs.

The pack 2 TX + 1 RX includes two transmitters, one receiver, a charging case, a USB-C adapter, audio and USB-C cables, magnets, clips, windscreens, and a pouch.
