AFERIY Haven3000 P300

The Haven3000 P300 is the station that AFERIY places above its P210 and P280, with 2048 Wh of base capacity and 3000 W output. We received it at the end of September, and the first thing that stands out is the size: 21.6 kg on the scale, almost 40 cm wide. It's no longer a battery that you can grab with one hand to place in a van.

So we clearly classify it as home and large motorhome, not for weekend vans. It's made to stay put somewhere, power real appliances, and handle a power outage without anyone noticing. If you're looking for something lighter and more portable, you should consider the 1 kWh range instead.

Who is this station for?

Three profiles, basically. The first is the home: you want a backup that takes over when the grid goes down, that keeps the fridge, the box, a few lamps running, and lets you finish your remote workday in peace. The second is the large vehicle, motorhome or integrated, where you have the space and weight allowance for 21.6 kg in a storage compartment. The third is the workshop or construction site, because 3000 W of AC output starts to allow for serious tools.

For a compact camper van, it is frankly oversized. You will pay for volume and weight for a capacity that you won't fully utilize, and you'll be better served by an expandable 1 kWh option.

Key features to know

The base is 2048 Wh in LiFePO₄, rated for over 4000 charge cycles by the brand, with a BMS certified IEC 62619. The chemistry matters more than you think: with lithium iron phosphate, you can reasonably expect a decade of domestic use before seeing capacity decline, whereas NMC degrades much faster.

On the output side, it's generous: 3 AC outlets 220-240 V for a total of 3000 W (not 3000 W per outlet, watch out for the classic misunderstanding), 2 USB-A, 4 USB-C including two at 140 W, a 12 V 10 A car cigarette lighter, two DC5521, and one XT60 25 A. A somewhat unusual design point: the ports are spread across three of the four sides, the screen occupies a large front, and nothing protrudes at the back. This changes the way you position it against a wall.

What is the daily autonomy?

What does 2048 Wh actually mean? AFERIY claims 24 to 30 hours of refrigerator use, one hour of an electric plate at 1500 W, about 2.7 hours of coffee machine use, or around a hundred phone charges. These are manufacturer figures, not our measurements, and they obviously assume that you are only doing one thing at a time.

A useful benchmark: a 2 kWh station covers backup uses (cooling, lighting, box, computers, small appliances) very well, and much less so for anything that heats. A space heater or water heater can drain 2 kWh in just a few hours, regardless of the brand.

Charging: AC, solar, and extension

On AC, the input is rated for 1800 W maximum, with a charge claimed to reach 80% in one hour. This kind of figure depends heavily on your setup: an old outlet or a somewhat weak network may not allow the full 1800 W. The app also allows you to intentionally limit this power, which is a good idea for the lifespan of the cells.

On the solar side, there are two independent XT90 inputs of 600 W each, for a total of 1200 W of solar, within a range of 11.5 to 55 V. For a 2 kWh battery, this is very comfortable: with a decent panel setup, you can recharge during the day effortlessly. The two channels are adjustable separately, allowing you to mix panels and vehicle charging.

Finally, an extension port on the right side accepts up to four P280-B batteries, allowing you to reach 10,240 Wh. This is where the P300 makes perfect sense for home backup: you start with 2 kWh and stack more if the need arises.

UPS, app, and life alongside

The inverter function is claimed to have less than 10 ms of switch-over, which is theoretically enough to keep a desktop computer or a box from restarting during a power cut. To be verified in practice, this is typically the kind of promise that is tested by unplugging for real.

The app is called Bright EMS, and it's the same as on the P280. It does the bare minimum to control the outputs remotely, but it does add a few things that physical buttons can't do: charge and discharge thresholds, a silent charging mode, a schedule for AC charging, and an input power adjustment. It's useful, even if the interface won't win any design awards.

We received it, we are testing it
